Une découverte rapportée par notre camarade Karim Soul @ Work : l’improbable mash-up entre MF Doom, le vengeur masqué du rap et Tatsuro Yamashita, le roi de la city pop japonais s’est fait dans l’esprit foisonnant du beatmaker/vidéaste Dan « Tanda » Wilkinson. Une rencontre de légendes matérialisée dans 20 minutes particulièrement agréables à l’écoute.
Combining the offbeat raps of MF Doom with Japanese pop legend Tatsuro Yamashita, Tanda blends these two worlds into one heading-nodding 22 minutes of feel good funk.
Le résultat : un projet qui aurait pu figurer dans la discographie officielle de ces deux icônes. Une disruption spatio-temporelle en écoute ici :
