New York City emcee/producer Fokis, set to release new album Hello My Name is Fokis. The album slated for release later this year, is one that you not only listen to but watch. Presented in the form of a short film, the mini-movie features all-new music with production by K-Def, High John, Lorenzo, Raz One, DJ Sticky, Fokis, Flip, Luxembourg hip-hop legends Corbi and DJ PC.

The album’s storyline is simple, Fokis sets off on a trip to Europe to create a new album and the viewer gets to come along for the ride. You watch as Fokis boards a flight to Europe, travels from country to country, city to city via plane, train, and automobile. Along the way, connecting with producers, fans at shows and friends. Each song is presented in music video format and is interconnected as part of the overall story. You get a chance to witness the hard work and dedication of a working musician.

“After playing shows, I always have people come up to me telling me how great I was or how much they enjoyed the show…. And you can see the passion in their eyes when they say it.. so it made me think, how could I make people that are not at the show, feel the same way? If people could only see how hard I work, how creative and passionate I am about this, I know they’ll connect with it” – Fokis.  In preparation of the release, Fokis will be hosting a series of screenings throughout Europe beginning in March.
